Some time ago, our chimney sweeper asked me in the thickest Bavarian dialect: "How does an old bastard like you still get on motorbikes?"

Well, very simple: Ask neighbour for help, hold on to the fence with one hand, and then very slowly with the right leg...

So - how did I get to motorbiking? During my student time I had an [ NSU 250 OSL ] (predecessor of the MAX) - a beautiful bike and an oldtimer already back then (1950 model). Then there was nothing for 25 years, but I was always interested in these things. In 1997, I "bumped into" a used 1000 GS and from then on, I was hooked. I would never have thought that in my age you can still excite about a hobby.

2 real big tours per year and in summertime with the bike to work, that sums up to 14,000 miles per year.
